Hiking Bucegi Mountains
This trip will take us to one of the most wild areas of the Bucegi Natural Park. The beauty of the forest, alpine pastures and glacial valleys will be part of the landscape. This is the place in 2010, Israeli helicopter, in heavy weather conditions after piloting error, hit the rocks, 7 people losing their lives. Our route passes you by the monument build in memory, which is located at the base of the mountain near the village of Simon, as well as by the rocks where the remains of the aircraft were found, high in the mountains at about 1800 m altitude.
Our tips:
15 km medium/hard difficulty hike, approx. 1400 m elevation height. This trip is recommended for the hikers that are not for the first time on a mountain and have a bit of experience on how to approach various terrains. Total 7 to 9 hours hike on wide pats with no exposure or dangerous cliffs.
Travelers should have a moderate physical fitness level .

Hiking Bucegi Mountains – Schedule:
Pick up time is at 8:30 A.M. from your hotel in Brasov. Arriving at the base of Bucegi Mountains will take us around 1 hour. Be prepared for a 3 hours hike until Gaura Glacier Valley. This is the place where we take our lunch break (the food and water are included in the price). We then hike back to the car and return to Brasov around 6 or 7 P.M.
