Aurochs Reserve (Zimbri Romania) in Vama Buzăului – a delight for both kids and adults

The Aurochs Valley is 45 minutes away by car from Brasov and it’s the newest Aurochs Reserve in Romania. It opened its doors in 2008 with five aurochs received from abroad, and today it is home to 34, many of them born there.

Reindeer and red deer share the same range with the legendary animal, which is protected throughout Europe and can weigh up to 900 kg in optimal conditions. In addition to the aurochs in the reserve, there is also a family of red deer, a family of reindeer, peacocks and mouflons.

Around the natural reserve there is a small river where you can stop and the little ones can throw pebbles into the water. Also, we might meet a herd of cattle around the reserve, which graze quietly, being used to the presence of people.

Continue your day in Prejmer and visit a Fortified Church built by the Saxons

The Fortified Church of Prejmer is located 15 km from Brasov in a whole chain of Saxon villages, each of which houses a fortified church. Built in the 13th Century and fortified two centuries later, the evangelical church of Prejmer is the strongest ecclesiastical fortress and the oldest Gothic monument in Transylvania.

Come  and discover the history of this Fortified Church, and also the legends behind it. One of the legends say that, during a barbarian invasion, a Tartar was hit in the head by an “iron tooth” of a gate. His head is believed to had been so strong that it broke the “tooth”. That’s why many people now claim that this is the explanation to the existence of a “toothless” door within the city. Join us today and discover for yourself which is myth and what is reality.

Indulge in a very healthy lunch at a Fish Farm in Harman – a place where the food is mainly natural and homegrown

We continue our day with a visit to a local farm, very well known and highly appreciated. Located right on the edge of a lake, here we will take our lunch after such a full day. The cost of lunch is not included in the standard price of the trip. Here, children can enjoy themselves in the playground, admire the farm animals or even the fish swimming in the lake.
