DAY 1

Pick-up from Bucharest – Transbucegi Road – Hike to the Caraiman Cross

We begin our adventure with a scenic drive on the Transbucegi Road, one of Romania’s most beautiful mountain routes. Our main goal today is a memorable hike to the iconic Caraiman Cross, situated high above the Bucegi Mountains. The hike takes around 4 hours (round trip), offering breathtaking views over the Prahova Valley and beyond. In case of bad weather (heavy rain, fog, or poor visibility), we will offer an alternative hike or cultural experience for the day.

DAY 2

Hiking Day in Piatra Craiului National Park – Picnic included

Today is dedicated to exploring the spectacular Piatra Craiului National Park. Our hike will take us through a diverse landscape, dense forests, and dramatic gorges. Highlights include a visit to the charming Curmătura Mountain Cabin and a walk through the Zărnești Gorges (Prăpăstiile Zărneștilor). We’ll enjoy a fresh picnic lunch along the way, surrounded by nature. Expect a scenic mix of leafy forests, conifer trees, traditional sheepfolds, and postcard-worthy views.

DAY 3

Castles Day – Peleș, Bran & Cantacuzino

Step into Romania’s royal and medieval past as we visit three stunning landmarks: the elegant Peleș Castle in Sinaia, the legendary Bran Castle (often linked to Dracula), and the stylish Cantacuzino Castle (featured in the series Wednesday) Each has its own unique story, architecture, and charm. Along the way, enjoy mountain scenery and charming towns nestled in the Carpathians.

DAY 4

Bear Sanctuary & Hike in the Mountain Villages of Măgura and Peștera - Picnic included

In the morning, we visit the Libearty Bear Sanctuary in Zărnești, home to over 100 rescued brown bears living in a safe and natural environment. After that, we head to the beautiful mountain villages of Măgura and Peștera for a relaxed hike. These remote settlements offer incredible panoramic views, traditional rural life, and plenty of photo opportunities.

DAY 5

Seven Ladders Canyon – Return to Bucharest

On our final day, we explore the Seven Ladders Canyon (Canionul 7 Scări), a unique and fun adventure involving metal stairs and waterfalls. After our morning hike, we drive back to Bucharest, Sibiu or Brasov with drop-off in the afternoon or early evening.
