E-Bike Tour in Romania
When the E-bike was first invented, there was a lot of criticism around it. That is, until people realized that it was indeed necessary.
The phrase “electric assist” is very apt for this system. In other words, we do not regulate engine power by pressing a button/lever or accelerator pedal, but by choosing one of three or four programs, the system computer analyses the situation created and adds exactly as much power as we need to the effort we put in. The bike doesn’t pedal for you: the sporting feeling remains unaltered, but a little help is welcome: it’s very pleasant that, when you take it uphill, instead of sighing, you smile!
No wonder the E-Bike industry is the fastest growing branch of the bicycle industry, even though E-Bikes are much more expensive than traditional bikes. In Western Europe, in mountainous areas, E-Bikes are slowly outnumbering traditional bikes, both for touring and commuting.
For many of us, climbing up a small slope with a regular bike can cause fatigue or even sweating. No one really wants (especially if they have a business meeting) to arrive at their destination sweaty and tired. Luckily, all these problems become obsolete the moment we use an E-Bike.

Why try an E-Bike?
1 – Get to your destination in better shape. Because the pedaling effort is much less than on a normal bike, the distance you can cover without tiring is much greater. Plus, you won’t get tired either.
2 – You have a chance to change: change is always good. And the E-bike might as well be just the change you need.
3 – Adventure. Look for a friend, an acquaintance who has already experienced an E-Bike and hear about their experience. During normal journeys, but especially on a trip, you will be able to travel at a much higher speed than you ever imagined.
4 – Get into pedaling in a gradual way. If your fitness level is… well, not the greatest, the E-Bike helps you overcome these shortcomings and achieve high-level workouts.
5 – It’s great for the whole family! Let’s take an example: within a family there can be big differences between the fitness levels of family members, which can be an impediment to having a good time on a cycle tour. With an E-Bike these differences flatten out and you can concentrate and enjoy quality time together in the heart of nature.
6 – You can visit new and new places. With an E-Bike you have an electronic assistance system that allows you to climb hills that would have seemed impossible before, so you can get to places you wouldn’t otherwise have been able to get to, and not with a traditional bike.
7 – Mobility. You have countless possibilities to choose your route or park your E-Bike. Let’s not even mention the parking problems that can arise with a car.
8 – Large range. Nowadays E-Bikes can have a range of 100-150 kilometers and if the battery really runs low you have two options: you can charge it up while you have a coffee and a juice or you can get home without the E-Bike function, using it as a simple bike.
9 – Easy to use: you don’t have to press the buttons on the parking machines or at the pay barriers at the parking garages. You don’t have to use the car park lift. On the E-Bike only a few smaller areas need to be kept clean.
10 – Reduce your environmental footprint. To be able to charge the battery of an E-Bike even 1000 times, the pollution caused by producing the necessary electricity is particularly small. These batteries can run for many years, even 10-15 years, and the distance travelled can be up to 100 000 km.
